Diocesan Guidelines for the Sacrament of Confirmation
Each baptized Catholic can and should receive the Sacrament of Confirmation. The candidates may request the Sacrament if they:
Are baptized and able to renew baptismal promises.
Are open to receiving the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
Have received their First Communion, participating in the Sunday Mass and in the sacramental life of the Church. (Adults and adolescents who have not received First Communion will be catechized through the OCIA process with age-appropriate catechesis)
Have reached 15 years of age.
Are willing to commit to active involvement in the parish Confirmation preparation process.
Are willing to continue to grow in faith following Confirmation and throughout their lifetime.
St. Ann Guidelines for Confirmation
Current Students: Confirmation Candidates must have been enrolled in Faith Formation Classes for one full year at St. Ann with acceptable attendance prior to registering for Confirmation class
New Students: Must present a letter from their previous parish indicating that the student was registered (the prior year) in Faith Formation along with their attendance record.
Required Documents: Candidates will need to provide Baptismal and First Holy Communion certificates. Form B will also need to be completed with registration.
Fees:
$30 registration fee per child via cash, check or credit card, or discuss options with the Faith Formation Office. (This fee is in addition to the $50 regular Faith Formation class fee)
Families Registering three or more students in Sacramental Prep classes (either FHC or Confirmation) will receive a $5 discount per student.
